Venice, Italy

Venice beyond the Doge's Palace.

Flâneur knows more than 25,000 works of art across the cities it covers. In Venice, it knows which of them are in which room, how long they take to see properly, and how to build your day so you do not miss the ones that matter to you.

Plan my Venice itinerary

Venice is so visually overwhelming that most visitors never stop to look at what is actually inside its buildings.

The city behind the postcard.

Venice has been painted, drawn and photographed more than almost any city on earth. Its art collections are among the least visited for their size and quality.

Scuola Grande di San Rocco

Tintoretto spent twenty-three years painting the walls and ceilings of this building. The result is one of the most ambitious decorative programmes in Western art: sixty canvases covering the entire narrative of the Old and New Testaments. Ruskin called it one of the three greatest paintings in the world. It receives a fraction of the visitors that go to the Doge's Palace three minutes away.

Gallerie dell'Accademia

The definitive collection of Venetian painting from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century, in a sequence of rooms that traces the entire arc of the school. Bellini, Carpaccio, Giorgione, Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto. The Tempest. The cycle of the Legend of Saint Ursula. Most visitors to Venice never enter.

Scuola Grande dei Carmini

Nine ceiling paintings by Giambattista Tiepolo, commissioned in 1739, in near-perfect condition. The central oval, the Virgin in Glory Appearing to Simon Stock, is among the finest examples of Tiepolo's mature work. The building is quiet, the admission modest, and the paintings directly overhead in a room scaled for a human being rather than a crowd.

And many other works in Venice you might otherwise miss.

An art expert who knows every room.

Flâneur is not a travel tool. It is a curated guide built on a database of more than 25,000 works. It knows what is in Venice, which museum holds it, and whether it belongs in your itinerary based on who you are as a visitor. General travel guides cannot do this. A generalist AI does not know enough to do this.

Tell Flâneur who you are

Curious, Enthusiast, or Expert. Your profile tells Flâneur which works matter to you and how deeply you want to engage with each one.

02

Flâneur selects what to see

From its database of works in Venice, Flâneur identifies what corresponds to your profile and builds the day around those works, not around the most popular venues.

Download and go

Your itinerary arrives as a PDF with times, addresses and maps. Everything you need to walk in and find what Flâneur found for you.

Three depths, one city.

Flâneur builds a different itinerary depending on how you engage with art, not just how many days you have.

Profile 01

Curious

You love art but do not want to spend an entire day in a single museum. Flâneur finds the essential works across several venues, with time left to breathe.

Profile 02

Enthusiast

You already know the main collections. You are looking for the next layer: the works that reward closer looking, the buildings most people skip.

Profile 03

Expert

You travel for a specific period, a specific technique, or a specific artist. Flâneur builds around your focus and fills the remaining time with works that relate to it.

Other tools plan your day. Flâneur plans it around the works that matter to you.

Flâneur is built on a database of more than 25,000 indexed works of art across the cities it covers: paintings, sculptures, frescoes, architectural spaces, each one associated with a museum, a room, an artist, a period. When you tell Flâneur your profile, it already knows which works in Venice correspond to your interests, which venues hold them, and in what order it is possible to see them in a single day. The itinerary is not a list of recommended places. It is the sequence that a well-informed art historian would plan for you, built automatically from the ground up.
